Property Solutions Team Lead
Team Lead: Property Solutions
1st Choice Companies is seeking an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Property Solutions Team Lead to join our growing team. This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and managing a variety of residential and commercial property projects.
The Team Lead works directly with the homeowner and office scheduler to complete repairs, maintenance, installations, and property improvement projects while leading one supporting technician. Every day is different, and the ideal candidate is comfortable tackling a wide variety of maintenance and construction-related tasks.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead and complete residential and commercial maintenance, repair, and improvement projects.
Supervise and mentor one supporting team member while ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
Troubleshoot and solve problems independently while on job sites.
Perform repairs involving:
HVAC systems (basic troubleshooting and repairs)
Plumbing systems
Electrical fixtures and devices
Carpentry and framing
Drywall repair
Doors, windows, trim, and hardware
Install lighting, ceiling fans, handrails, shelving, fixtures, and other residential or commercial improvements.
Safely operate a variety of power tools, hand tools, and equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on customer-owned equipment when applicable.
Coordinate material purchases and maintain accurate receipts.
Keep company trucks, trailers, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and job-ready.
Document daily work using company software and mobile applications.
Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and team members.
Coordinate with other contractors on larger projects when necessary.
Perform occasional heavy labor, including demolition, digging trenches, moving materials, and small concrete removal.
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess experience in multiple skilled trades and be comfortable working independently.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in property maintenance, construction, remodeling, or a related trade.
Working knowledge of:
HVAC systems
Plumbing
Residential electrical work
Framing
Basic carpentry
Drywall repair
General construction methods
Ability to safely operate:
Circular saws
Miter saws
Table saws
Drills and impact drivers
Nail guns
Rotary hammers
Grinders
Other common construction equipment
Ability to read a tape measure and perform accurate measurements.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Professional appearance and excellent customer service skills.
Pay based on experience.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
